Hey everyone this past Saturday Sept 6th I partnered with LeapFrog and CLIF Kid to host a Fit Made Fun Party. We invited some family and friends over to get there kids moving and playing. We got the opportunity to try out the New LeapBand by LeapFrog and had some great snacks provided CLIF Kid. I set up the LeapBands the night before to be sure they were charged and ready to go. I downloaded the 60 minutes in motion cards and some other great activities for the kids. I think the 60 minutes in motion cards were the favorite of the day. They kids has a blast it was a race to see who could finish first. Some of the parents even joined in the fun. Rock and Role and the Frog Jump were by far the favorite of the day.

The LeapBand is a cool interactive activity tracker designed just for kids to encourage active play and healthy habits with cute customizable pet pals. You can program it for school time and bed time so they are not allowed to play during those times. Kids have to do activities to earn points to unlock fun and new rewards. Kids can even track their progress on the energy bar. Parents can set up 50 different challenges to get their kids active. The LeapBand comes in three colors, blue, pink, green.  They are water resistant and have a rechargeable battery. There is also a Pethathlon App that you can get for smart phones and tablets and the LeapPad ultra. The LeapBand sells for about $ 39.99. You can get at several different places including walmart. You can also click HERE to get it from LeapFrog. My only complaint is the band is kind of stiff and might be a little tight on a bigger kids wrist. The color on the screen is great and the pets are super cute. The activities are a blast and I love that I can set it so they cant play with it during school time. The kids would like it to be a bit louder they had a hard time hearing it when there was more than one of them around.

After all that moving and wiggling the kids were hungry and were ready for a snack. Our snack was provided by CLIF Kid. We received CLIF KID ZBar Protein in chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate and Chocolate Mint. Each bar has 5g of protein and 3 grams of fiber. Sugar content ranges from 8 to 9 grams per bar so they are lower in sugar content than some of the other brands we have tried. They are also made with organic whole grains. The kids loved these things and they made a great healthy snack. My girls are not much for granola type bars they usually choose carrots over them so I was surprised at how much they enjoyed these. The other kids seemed to enjoy them and even took some of the left overs home.

The LeapReader™ "Ready, Set, Read & Write" Party

I was given the opportunity to work with LeapFrog and MomSelect on a fantastic new Leapfrog Product.

Everyone Knows how much I love Leapfrog's learning products. So this was a great thrill for me to be able to host this party. Our Party was for the New LeapReader Ready, Set, Read and Write. We received a party pack to help us host the party. It contained two Leapreaders pre-loaded with Leapreader books and learning apps special for our party. LeapReader Books including Learn to Write Letters with Mr.Pencil writing Workbook, Talking words factory writing workbook and LeapFrog Disney-Pixar Monsters university 3d book and monsters university 3d glasses, Get Ready for kindergarten book, talking words factory flash cards, two Leapreader sampler books and lots of great information for parents and teachers regarding the new product.

I want to give you the basic information on the new LeapReader and how much it sells for on the LeapFrog site and of course my opinion of the product. First off The LeapReader starter system sells for $49.99 or LeapFrog offers several different bundle packages starting at about $79.99 to around $94.99. They offer the LeapReader pen in three colors blue, purple and green. you can find all this great stuff by clicking HEAR.

The new LeapReader is the complete learn-to-read-and-write solution. It combines all  three literacy skills, reading,writing, and listening. Practicing them together helps children learn the skills they need to help become confident independent readers.
First Up is the Learn to Read portion of the product a little like the original tag system you can touch the LeapReader to any page to sound out words letter by letter. Read the sentences in character voice and play fun games that help to build reading comprehension.  I love that the LeapReader can sound out the words when they get stuck. This is a great feature for new readers like the HotrodPrincess. She knows how to read but still gets stuck on words some times.

The Learn to Write Feature is new and is something the tag system does not do. You can use the LeapReader to trace letters and numbers and write words with interactive guidance as magic ink appears on special mess-free paper.  Thats right this baby teaching writing too and on mess free paper. That means it only writes on the special paper. No scribbles on the kitchen table score one for mom right. The Learn to write feature is Snoopy Girls favorite part. She is beginning to learn to write her letters and numbers and the guidance really helps her to make the letters correctly. The Interactive guidance helps to ensure she is getting the help she needs when I working with the HotRod Princess on something else.

Learn To Listen feature helps kids develop important listening skills, reading comprehension, trivia challenges and learning songs. The smaller kids loved listening to the stories and the bigger kids like the HotRod princess loved the Triva challenges and Snoopy and kids in her age range picked up the songs easily and were quickly singing along.

I also want to say that the LeapReader works with the tag books so all those tag books you already own can still be used a definite bonus way to go LeapFrog for making that possible. I love the big selection of books Leapfrog offers. My girls are book worms and we need lots and lots of books. With a library of 80+ books, audio books, games and more. there is enough to keep my girls reading for a while. The Girls love there tag system but they love the new LeapReader even more. I liked the Tag system but I am truly impressed with the improvements and upgrades that come with the LeapReader and I am so glad we were given the opportunity try it out and share it with friends and family. The party was big hit and the LeapReader is on the must have list for Christmas this year.

The kids loved this little guitar its super easy to use touch the on button and it starts playing strum the guitar faster and the song play faster. Its got some cute songs on it that the kids already knew so they could sing along. They had a blast taking turns with it and seeing who could sing the song the fastest. It runs on 3AAA batteries they are included and so far we haven't had to change them. I love that its got volume control on the back Lo and HI. Hi is not as loud as I expected which is a good thing when the girls insist on playing it while I am trying to write this review.  It does not have raised strings the face of the guitar is completely smooth. No groves for gunk to get stuck in. Its simple enough that even the smaller kids enjoyed it. we did take off the strap for the little ones to be sure they did not get it tangled around there neck or other body part. It is very light weight so its perfect for little ones to rock out with.

The Smaller Kids loved this one. The music is great its got a lot of my favorite songs on it. Like the touch Magic Rock n' Learn guitar the face is completely smooth so no places for gunk to get trapped. It has both a High and Lo volume on it. Runs on 3AAA batteries and they are holding out quite well we haven't had to change them yet. The little ones seemed to like making there own music with the piano keys and  hearing the animal sounds. The Touch Magic Learning Bus is also very light weight so its easy to carry around the house.

All the Kids had a great time at the touch Magic Rock n' Learn Party Jamming to some tunes and Playing all the fun games they sent us. Great Job LeapFrog! Thanks for another fun product.

This week I was given the opportunity to Review a product by LeapFrog. The Tag Human Body Discovery Pack. I gave the Hot Rod Princess a quick demonstration of how the tag system worked. She picked it up very quick and was excited to start exploring. I had to pry her away from it to get her to come eat dinner. Its always great to see your kids get excited to learn something new. I was amazed at how much information she has picked up from the Tag Human Body Discovery Pack. She really loved the skeletal system, she has walked around for two days no feeling the bones in our hands, feet, arms and legs even naming a few. She surprised her POP when she informed him that the bones in his fingers were called phalanges and that muscles made her hand open and close. She has spent a lot of time with it each morning and is now asking for more Tag books. Snoopy gets a kick out of hearing it talk and loves to sit next to the Hot Rod Princess while she is working. She loves the wash your hands song its quite catchy and we have begun singing and danging to it when we wash our hands. The tooth brushing song is the Hot Rod Princesses favorite song she likes to play it while she is brushing her teeth at night. I have to admit its a fun song.

The Tag Human body Discovery Pack is helping me to teach the girls about the Human body and good nutrition. I have to admit I love interactive learning products and so do the girls. The two sided interactive chart is cool. You can touch everything on it to learn something new. We had a great time exploring the human body and I even re learned a few things I had forgotten.  We set up the interactive growth chart and the girls took turns marking there height on it. Since they both celebrated there birthdays this week we got try out the Birthday stickers. The stickers are interactive so when you touch the birthday sticker the Tag reader say's This marks your height on your birthday and cheers the girls got a kick out of it. The Hot Rod Princess now wants to loose her first tooth just so she can put the interactive tooth sticker on the growth chart. The Human Body Discovery Pack comes with some other interactive stickers that the girls have really enjoyed. We love that it talks to you so its great for a little independent learning time.  I like the games because they help to reinforce what they have learned. But the girls like them because they are fun. Me and The Hot Rod Princess have a lot of fun with the Making healthy choices game. We even make games of our own using the Interactive stickers to see who can get the most bones and muscles right.
