TRIA Hair Removal Laser

TRIA Hair Removal Laser Review!
Month 6 with the TRIA
Well this is supposed to be the end of my TRIA Hair Removal Laser Review. I have fallen in love with the TRIA. My legs are not completely hair free yet but they are dang close. I think I have may be 20 hairs left on each leg and that could just be because I misses spots when I was treating my legs with the TRIA. It does take some time to use because the head is so small and it doesn't work well on light hair. But the company said that it only worked on dark colored hair so I didn't really expect it to do much for the light hair. The little bit of hair that is remaining is much much finer and and grows very very slow. I no longer have trouble with ingrown hairs and only have to touch up a few spots on my leg about once a month or so when the hair finally grows back. I do wish the battery lasted a bit longer so that I could do both legs in one setting on a higher setting. Over all the results were satisfactory and I am very happy with the TRIA Hair Removal Laser its a product I would buy and I believe its well worth its money.

Month 5 with the TRIA 5-20-2012
So I am still seeing improvement with the TRIA the hair on my legs is not totally gone yet but there is way less of it and its super fine now its no where near as course as it was when I began this journey. Whats left is actually hard to see. For my under arms there is defiantly still hair but its finer and its growing slower so I can go with out shaving them for near a week and I am thrilled about that. My bikini Line is doing wonderfully I started doing it a little later than I did my legs but I am already seeing results this is about my third month doing my bikini line. The hair has become very thin and spars and takes much longer to grow back. The ingrown hairs are almost non existent and I am so stoked about that with bathing suit season in full swing. Less shaving equals a happy mommy.

Month 4 with the TRIA 4-22-2012
I am in LOVE ! the Hair on my legs is minimal the back of my calf has basically no Hair, and the rest is a lot thinner finer and is growing very slow.  Totally cool as my 4 year old would put it. My underarms are not hair free yet but Its growing slower and I still have faith that the TRIA will take care of it. I do still wish the head was a bit bigger so that it covered more area at one time. The battery does not last long enough for me to do both legs and underarms but that's OK because I don't usually have time to do it all at once any way.  I did get brave and do my bikini line because I realized that summer is almost hear and not waxing would be amazing. I have only done two sessions on my bikini line and I am already seeing results most of it has not come back. Summer is going to be great this year.

Month 3 with the TRIA 3-18-2012
So this is my second month of using the TRIA Hair removal Laser every 2 weeks.  The Hair on my legs is definitely finer and growing back slower. I have also recently noticed that there is a area on the back of my calf where the Hair no longer grow's. I am excited and I cant wait to see continued results. I still wish the battery lasted a bit longer may be that is something that they can improve on in the future. I still find it a bit time consuming to do but I seem to be able to fit it in after the girls go to bed at night. I usually do one leg one night and the other leg the next night. So that's my current update on the TRIA Hair Removal Laser.
You can find it hear at  http://www.triabeauty.com/home-laser-hair-removal

Month 2 with the TRIA 2/6/2012
So its about time for my fourth treatment. I plug in the TRIA and get it all charged up. I finally think I have some free time to do my legs nope wrong Little Bug decides she is hungry my legs will have to Waite. Ok that's not so bad considering I shave my legs like every week and a half now and they just have a little stubble when I do finally get around to it. Later that day I finally get around to my TRIA Treatment I did my right leg on a 5 so the battery was dead by the time I got my leg done. Now let me remind everyone that I am just doing my lower legs. So I had to plug it in and let it charge it takes about 2 hours to charge on the one setting the other takes much much longer like 8 hours well Apparently I got it on that other setting some how because 3 hours later it still was not charged It was charged enough to do my under arms but that was it. So I plug it in yet again this time I think I have it on the right setting but it turns out its another day and a half before I get a chance to do my other leg. I still have hair on my legs but I can get away with shaving every week and a half. I'm happy with that even if this thing never does any better. My Underarms are improving too I have to shave them more frequently because well I cant stand stubbly underarms but that's about every 3 days and that's better than every day. I have already saved a bunch on razor blades.

Treatment Three UpDate 1/22/2012
I just finished my third treatment and I am very pleased. The hair growth on my legs and Under arms has slowed down considerably I can shave my legs about every 4-5 days and even then they are just beginning to show a little stubble. My under arms I can go about three days before shaving. The hair seems to be finer and when it grows back there is less of it and that makes me very happy. So far I haven't had any trouble with the TRIA its still comfortable to use I can use the 4 setting on my legs and a 3 or 4 on my under arms with out any discomfort. I usually do my legs first then the next time Little Bug takes a nap or is playing nicely I will run in and do my under arms. My under arms only take me a couple minutes so that's not too big of a deal. My legs do take some time to do though because the head of the laser is a little small. But I am willing to take a little time of my evening to do a treatment. I usually do my legs after the girls have gone to bed and I am watching something on TV. It takes me about 20 min to do both legs and I'm usually done before what ever I am watching is over. I cant believe this thing is actually working!

Treatment Two UPdate 1/8/2012
So about two weeks has past since My first treatment with the Tria Hair removal Laser. I did my lower legs and underarms. I shaved right before Doing the first treatment and Three days later I was just starting to show hair growth.  If I shave the previous night usually by the next night I am showing stubble. The hair growth has definitely slowed down I did not expect to be seeing any results so soon. I did my second treatment tonight Still comfortable and painless so far I haven't had any crazy reactions other than the hair is starting to grow slower which I am so happy with. Its really easy to use charging can take a bit of time so be sure you plug it in well before you intend to use it. Now the only down side I have found is that the battery doesn't last quite long enough on the higher settings I could not finish both upper and lower legs and my underarms all on a higher setting. On one of the lower setting I probably could but it just runs a little short of battery power if you use the 4-5 settings and intend to do upper and lower legs and underarms all in one session. So I do two sessions My legs one night then my underarms the next which seems to work out. Don't forget to come back for my next update in two weeks.!

I received the Tria Hair Removal Laser as sample for this review. I am not being paid for my opinion.

To start off I will be doing several up dates on this page over the next 6 months as I use the Tria Hair Removal Laser. Everyone can follow my progress and find out the results right along with me I will be up dating every two weeks as I do another treatment.

This is what the Tria Says on there site about the Hair Removal Laser

"The TRIA Hair Removal Laser is the only laser for hair removal that delivers permanent results at home. Made by the same scientists who created the gold standard for in-office laser hair removal, the TRIA Laser delivers forever-smooth skin liberated from shaving, waxing, stubble, razor burn and ingrown hairs. See less hair growth in 90 days and become hair-free in as little as 6 months (and save time and money versus in-office treatments)!
•  FDA-cleared safe and effective
•  Easy to use with a digital display for guidance
•  5 comfort settings"

Now there are few things you need to know Its only safe for lighter skin tones and is designed to work on dark to medium body hair color, and it is only FDA-cleared for below the neck use and should never be applied near the eyes. They also say not to use it on nipples or genitals because the skin in these areas may had a greater sensitivity, darker and or greater hair density and using the Tria laser in these areas may cause skin injury.

So hear is my first experience:
I got the Tria Hair removal laser a couple day a go. I grabbed a few quick pictures of it in the packaging then I checked out the quick start book. Because lets face it I was excited to try it out and I hate reading instructions. So I flipped through the quick start book got it activated which was easy you can either call in and Activate it or do it online I chose to do it online because well it was late when it arrived. (shipping was quick came in about 4 days) a couple simple steps and its ready to go It wont work tell you activate it.  It comes almost completely charged so your first charging doesn't take all that long about 30 min for mine. It has two charging settings one setting charges it in about 2 hours the other takes a lot longer I haven't charged it using the longer charge yet so ill have to get back to you on how long that takes. (I did end up reading the longer instruction book while I was waiting for it to charge and yes I recommend reading it)
The kids were in bed by the time it was fully charged so I wanted to give it a try. The book recommends shaving your legs before hand for the best results. There is a skin sensor on the bottom of the Tria so the first thing you do it turn it on then you place the bottom of the tria where the little sensor is flat against your skin on what ever area you are going to be treating and it will unlock if your skin has a safe skin tone. It also recommends starting on a lower comfort setting and increasing it to find the maximum intensity that you can comfortable tolerate. I skipped the 1 setting and put it on 2 i did a test spot and I didn't feel anything with a 2 so I went the 3 then the 4. I could feel a little sting or something with the 5 it didn't really bother me but I decided to start with the 4 to be sure I didn't have any trouble. the instructions recommend doing a a test area and waiting 24 hours to be sure your skin doesn't react badly to the laser. You place the laser flat against your skin (the laser will not fire if the tip it not flat against your skin)and it will beep when the laser fires and you move it to the next area using a slight overlapping pattern.
I did a test area on the side of my leg the next morning everything looked ok so I went and did both my legs. I didn't feel anything at all it was completely comfortable it was also fairly quick to do I expected it to take quite a bit of time to do my hole leg but it was quick and easy It only took me a little more time to do the Tria than it does to shave my legs. Doing my knee was a little tricky because the tip of the laser has to be flat against your knee so if you have bony knees you may have to bend it in order to get to press completely against your skin.  I haven't noticed any results yet but it was only my first treatment so I'm not really expecting any. I went on to do my underarms that evening.  I used a 3 and it was comfortable I didn't feel a thing. I am looking forward to my next treatment in 2 weeks and I am excited to start seeing some results. I will update then and let everyone know how it goes and If I notice any difference in hair growth.

Electrolysis is another hair removal method that has been used for over 135 years. At this time, it is the only permanent option for removal of very fine and light-colored hair. The FDA currently allows the term "permanent hair removal" for electrolysis only. Unlike laser epilation, electrolysis can be used to remove 100% of the hair from an area and is effective on hair of all colors, if used at an adequate power level with proper technique. Hair may re-grow however, based upon specific hormone levels or changes therein, and your genetic predisposition to grow new hair.

  17. Nice Post.lasers and pulsed light target several follicles at once, so you can treat large areas of skin.while it would take years to perform electrolysis on the back or legs, a typical laser hair removal session on both legs usually takes under two hours.

  20. Are you still using this? Your legs must be completely hairless by now. Have you tried using this on other parts of your body like in the armpit or bikini area? I have used it before and it worked right for my legs. Problem is, the treatment could sting if you can't follow through the right application, especially in the armpit area. Gaye @ StoneDerm.com

  21. The Tria Laser Hair Removal is very effective. If we use it right, it DOES Work! I have been embarrassed with facial hair for many years and I have always carried a tweezer in my purse. After the 2nd session at least 1/2 of the hairs that were treated were gone. I am already thrilled by my results

Though it might not be the case to some culture, some group of people truly believe that being hairless is a sign of beauty and cleanliness. And if you're in the latter group, you would want to get rid of your unwanted body hair as soon and as permanently as possible. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, and I hope that your results have been positive.

  40. Are you still using this? I’ve only experienced hair laser removal in skin care centers. They are usually good, but there are instances when it stung badly. So I never thought there are products out there which one could use to DIY the process. I see that it's deemed safe and effective by the FDA, but the fact that it uses laser makes me doubt its safety. But perhaps, it depends on the user. I guess as long as you follow the instructions correctly, it would be fine. Candance @ CosMedClinic.com
