Loopeez Makes Shoe tying easy!

My 5 year old is learning to tie her shoes. I found Loopeez, it teaches kids how to tie shoes. Loopeez is great for those little fingers just learning to tie. Its got a sleek design that holds shoelaces in place to make learning to tie shoes a breeze. Loopeez is a universal shoe tying aid that is even used in assisting occupational therapy and rehabilitation patients. It helps learn to tie shoes in 5 easy steps.

Loopeez can be found at http://www.loopeez.com and sells for $7.95 and you get a pair one for each shoe. Not a bad price at all to help teach your kids to tie there shoes. They come in several colors some even have a little picture on them like a butterfly or  ball.

My daughters shoes sporting Loopeez
We like Loopeez its a super simple product and its easy to use. Its made out of a rubber type material and is soft and flexible and its not real thick. We received the girls camouflage its pink and purple which my daughter loves. She says it makes her shoes look COOL!.  I do have to help my 5 year old get it on her laces step 2 in the pictures above. But from there she is able to finish the tying process easily. If her shoe comes untied it usually stays on the laces so she can easily tie her shoe again with out help. Loopeez is a fun product that does a great job in helping to get those shoes tied every morning.

Total Running Time: 115 minutes Price $19.99 and can be found at http://copy-kids.com/
DVD Copy-Kids Eat Fruits & VegetablesWe got this cute little video in the mail this week to review I thought lets give it a shot anything to get our kids to eat healthier right. Its a simple video that basically shows kids of various ages eating fresh fruits and vegetables to show how good they are. Its a bright and Fun Video that caught my 3 year old's attention. She loved seeing the other kids her age and she loved naming the different fruits and vegetables that she saw the kids eating.  She even went to the fridge and ask to eat some of the same vegetables that the other kids were eating that she had not been willing to eat in the past. My five year old is a vegetable lover and I have never had a problem getting her to eat fruits or vegetables. I honestly thought she might get a little board with it. I was surprised to find that she liked the video. She said it was fun and she liked seeing the other kids trying the things she loves. Bell Peppers are her favorite she was excited to see other kids like them too. It defiantly encouraged and reminded them to chose healthier fruits and vegetable over unhealthy snacks. They have both been asking for vegetables for snack time this week.  This would be a great video for little ones just starting to eat table food, they always want to copy others at that age, It would have drawn my girls attention.
I can honestly recommend the Copy Kids DVD to parents with kids 6 mo to 5 Years. It might not have as much influence on a 5 year old as it would a 1year old considering there outside influences like school. Its still an enjoyable and educational DVD and If it gets them try a new fruit or vegetable than its defiantly worth a try.
Come Check it out on Facebook http://copy-kids.com/

Chalk City Where SideWalk Chalk and Riding Toys Meet!

Chalk City® is a family of outdoor toys that combines two activities that boys and girls love—playing with sidewalk chalk and playing with riding toys. Kids of all ages can easily use the Road Maker®, Road Sign Stencils and Obstacle Course Stencils for hours of fun. The Chalk City® Road Maker® has won many awards, including The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, Tillywig's Best Family Fun, Creative Child Magazine's Seal of Excellence and Parent's Choice Recommended.

You can go to http://www.chalkcity.com to find a retailer near you. You can also find Chalk City Products on Amazon. Where you can get the full activity Kit for $39.99.

Now that the technical stuff is out of the Way the fun stuff. I got a little carried away with pictures on this one there was just so much fun to photograph.
My Girls LOVE Chalk City. They have played with this for hours. Its super fun and allows there creativity to run free. For weeks now our drive way has been covered in Roads and signs. We even hit the local park where we made a huge road on the walking path complete with stop signs and turn markers.

Chalk City defiantly gives you your bang for your buck. For $39.99 you get the road maker, road sign stencils, and obstacle course stencils, and chalk. the road maker and the stencils all come in there own bright colored carry bag for easy transportation. The road maker makes evenly spaced lines the perfect width for your child's bike scooter sate board etc. it makes great curvy roads circles and turns. It folds up for compact storage. The road sign stencils give you all the basics road signs STOP, Turn Right, Turn Left, and Straight. the Obstacle course stencils include a pair feet for hopping, a Jumping jack stencil, and a spin right or left stencil. I found that the chalk fit well in all the stencil's but the toes on the pair of feet. the toes are just kind of small and the big size chalk doesn't fit in the holes real well after the tip of the chalk has wore down. Not a big deal for me we just added the toes in free hand. be prepared to have a lot of chalk on hand because once they start using chalk city they will always want a road to ride there bike on. The chalk city site even has activity ideas for you and your kids http://www.chalkcity.com/activities1.html

We had a blast with Chalk city It's perfect for summer time fun and it would make a great gift.

Great for people with arthritis or limited hand dexterity, they are also great for anyone looking to make everyday kitchen tasks easier than ever. Each item comes with a lifetime warranty. Prices range from $12.99 to around $34.99. Everything can be found hear at www.shoptrudeau.com
My picture

I got these items in a couple weeks a go and took them right to my mom. She has arthritis and I knew she was the perfect person to test them out.

First up is the Stress Less Pizza Cutter it sells for $12.99 and is so worth it. You can hold it by the handle or over the top for less strain on your wrist and hand. It cuts so smooth way better then the $15.00 one I bought from walmart a few years back. My loved it she had no trouble using it at all and said the grip was perfect for her hand. I love that the blade pops out for easy cleaning something that non of my other pizza cutters do, and its dishwasher safe.

In the process of making pizza we tested out the Stress Less Garlic Press sells for $19.99. This thing is super easy to use. You flip it open stick in a piece of garlic lay it on the counter and press the handle down using the counter as leverage instead of having to squeeze it with your hand. No stress no strain and because its dishwasher safe No fuss trying to get it clean.

Picture from Trudeau
I also used the Stress Less Rotary Cheese Grader price $19.99. I don't normally like this type of cheese grader because I am left handed and the crank cheese graders are just backwards for me. But this little baby can be used for Left or Right handed you just switch the drum around. This little baby is Ergonomically designed so it reduces stress on your finger tips and eliminates wrist torsion. Its got a cast iron handle that turns so smooth and easy you'll be amazed. the vertical design lets you cheese drop right on to your food in our case the Pizza saving me the clean up of another bowl. It also disassembles easily for quick cleaning.

Picture from Trudeau
Next up is the Stress Less Salt Grinder price $34.99. I don't use a lot of salt mostly fresh pepper and I have been through quite a few pepper mills looking for one that was smooth and easy to grind. I have to admit I was a little bummed that it was a salt grinder and not a pepper grinder but I still had to test it out. This baby turns so smooth I couldn't believe it. You can adjust the grind on it for how fine or course you want your salt. It gets so fine my camera couldn't come in close enough to pick up the individual salt pieces I am talking slightly gritty baby powder fine. If there Pepper grinder grinds as easily as the stress less salt grinder does I would love to have one. I had my mom test it out too to be sure it wasn't just me finding it super easy to grind. She was quite amazed at how easy it was to use normally she has a hard time grinding fresh pepper or salt because they are difficult for her hand to turn and and hard to grip. there is something about the size and shape of the Stress less salt grinder that just fits your hand.

Stress Less Can Opener
Picture from the www.shoptrudeau.com
Last but not least the Stress Less Can Opener. Price $19.99. This is a unique can opener as the rotating cranking arm provides extra leverage that requires 50% less effort. Its got this unique safety cutting mechanism that cuts on the side of the can while never coming in contact with the food and it leaves the edges completely smooth so that you or your kids don't get cut a bonus in my book. You can even set the lid back on top of the can. It even has lid pliers built in so you can get the lid off easily. The handle folds down into the main body of the can opener so that its compact and fits in any of my drawers with out getting hung up on things trying to get it out. Like me my mom is in love with it. Its the first manual can opener that she doesn't have trouble using.

Hair Thingz

If you're looking for a fun new way to style hair that's easy to do, look no further! Hair Thingz® will amaze you. They can be used in so many ways, and your imagination is the only limit to the fun hairstyles you can create. Layer them, link them, stretch them, twist them- they always return to their spiral.

Hair Thingz sell for $5.99 and come in packs of 12 a great deal for a mom on a budget. They come in a variety of colors that you'll love. You can find them hear http://shop.hairthingz.com/main.sc. Hair Thingz is offering a special discount just for our military families use code USA at check out to get 25% off your order.

after 2 hours of running through the park
Hair Thingz are Mom design and they are Made in the USA. For the last two weeks Hair Thingz are the only thing I have used in my girls hair. They both suffer from super slick, fine hair. Clip's slip and fall out no matter what I try. Pony tail bands stretch out after a week and no longer hold. They are super simple to use they come with easy directions in the package or you can go to there site and see some videos of different ways to use Hair Thingz. Hair Thingz look like corker ribbon but they appear to be made out of some form of plastic that retains its shape time and time again. You basically take a section of hair and coil it around it. See the super cute pictures of my Snoopy girl sporting them at the park.

We have intertwined them linked them together Snoopy even stretched one out straight one night trying to put it in my hair and it bounced right back to its corker shape when she let go. I think the most important thing is that they stay in the girls hair. My girls can make it through the day and there hair is still up. Some of the shorter strands do fall out but I believe that is because they don't actually make it into the Hair Thingz. I love that they are funky and cute. The girls request I use them in the morning. They come out like a dream they don't tangle or snag in there hair. You hold there hair at the top above the Hair Thingz and then gently pull the bottom of the Hair Thingz and they come right out. They really are Just a Cool Hair Product. They are affordable enough that we can get all of her different color packages. Come check out Hair things a Great American Made Products that we are in love with.

Fish on Kids Books

I read a great book today called A whirlwind Opener Its book one of a 9 part series of books that are fun-packed fiction chapter book for 8 to 12 year-old readers.  Currently only 4 books are available the remaining 5 books will be out soon. They are adventure based books that revolve around Fishing, Camping and Hunting.  http://fishonkidsbooks.com/FishOnKidsBooks_MA3S.php

This is what book one A Whirlwind Opener is about:

Meet Gus Roberts, a fifth grader who can't wait for his family's big plans for the fishing opener. Gus needs some time on the water but also a break from Matt Driver, a bully who's got everyone anxious for the end of the school year. With his new fishing rod and tackle box always nearby, Gus joins his grandfather to meet the rest of the family at the cabin up north. Life has a few surprises in store and everyone adjusts to a different weekend than planned.

This book is geared for 8-12 year old's. I believe the reading difficulty is right on. My 9 year old niece would have no trouble with the book at all. I started this book yesterday and I was hooked from chapter one.d Getting a Kids attention and keeping it is hard to do, and this book defiantly kept my interest right from the start. I read it almost straight through. I had to find out what Gus was going to do next I couldn't put it down. Gus is such a likable character I could relate to him right from the start.  He does the right thing and shows a good example for kids. I love that the Book is about the outdoors.  Anything that encourages kids to get outside and explore is on the top of our list. I am excited to read the rest of the series and see what Gus has in-store for us.

Fish on Kids book series can be found on there site for 10.00 http://shop.fishonkidsbooks.com/
Or You can get the Kindle version of  A Whirlwind Opener hear for $2.99 http://www.amazon.com/Whirlwind-Opener-Book-ebook/dp/B0085HK51E/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1338936778&sr=1-1 the other books in the series are also available in the Kindle addition. No matter what version you go with your getting a great book for your money.
